The St. James Shadow Program
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Shadow Program for the fall semester is canceled. However, we’ve worked hard to create new experiences for your 8th-grade student. We hope to resume Shadow Days second semester.
The shadow visit is an essential step in helping the student envision themselves in the St. James community as a high schooler. We will match your student with a current SJA student who shares their interests. Your student will have the opportunity to ask questions, tour our campus, attend classes, and gain insight into the student experience at St. James – not to mention lunch on us!
The Student/Parent Thunder Experience
Since we are unable to offer your student the typical “Shadow Day”, we hope this event will be the next best thing. We’d like to invite 8th graders and their parent(s) to attend the Student/Parent Thunder Experience!
Register to experience SJA after hours! Students and parents, individually, will have the opportunity to interact with current SJA students, experience the house/community system, take a tour and hear what St. James has to offer.
The event is reserved for 8th graders only! Space is limited to 20 students per session. Registration is required.

7TH GRADE “PRACTICE SHADOW DAYS”
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 7th Grade “Practice Shadow Day” is paused/postponed. We will re-evaluate towards the end of the first semester to see if we will be able to host students second semester.
This half-day visit for 7th graders provides framing for what they can expect as a guest when they’re 8th-grade full-day visitors. During the 7th grade visits, guests are led by an upperclassman in small groups visiting various classes and meeting key teachers, coaches, sponsors, and administrators.
